BALLOON CARE – THE DO’S & DONT’S
HERE’S A FEW TIPS TO MAKE SURE YOU GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR BALLOONS
When you order your balloons we always inflate well in advance – this gives us time to detect any faults or imperfections that ‘occasionally’ can happen. Your balloon is always bagged to give it maximum protection. Once it leaves the shop in tip top condition and protected…..it’s up to you to make sure you treat it with extreme care 🙂
WHAT YOUR BALLOON DOESN’T LIKE *Sharp objects – even though we bag your balloon you must take care
not to hit it off doorways/roughcast walls to name but a few. *Animals/Pets – they can be a bit over enthusiastic when meeting a balloon.
*Extreme weather – hang on tight in the wind! If your balloon gets rained on it will not float upwards!
*Extreme heat/sun, especially in a car, can cause it to burst.
THE WEATHER
British Weather is known to be a bit on the cold side so here’s a few good tips to keep your balloons looking at their best.
Helium gas reduces in cold conditions but expands when it gets back into room temperature or warmth. Foil Balloons can sometimes look a little deflated until they get back into room temperature.
Latex Balloons prefer room temperature and do not like extreme heat/sun.
OUTDOOR BALLOONS
Although the idea of balloons outside seems a good one….it’s fraught with danger. The slightest wind will cause your balloons to move around.
The hot sun can cause them to pop and the rain
weighs them down. So only outside if it’s a calm, slightly overcast day.
LATEX BALLOONS
Our Latex Balloons are all biodegradable which means they will oxidise over time.
Coloured Balloons develop a matt finish and the Diamond Clear latex become cloudy after 7/8 hours.
FLOAT TIME (HELIUM)
11” Latex – approx. 8-10 hours
16” Latex – approx. 12-16 hours
30’ Large Latex – 24-36 hours
30’ Confetti Large Latex – 24 hours but may cloud over after 12 hours.
We recommend using hi-float, it triples the float time of your balloon. (except on Confetti or Double stuffed latex balloons)
This is an extra charge please let us know if you require your balloons for longer than your event we can add high float for you. Air-Filled latex, foils and bubbles will last for weeks….so choose a design you love!
Please make an effort to recycle your balloons once used.
